Gearheads of Texas State University is a registered student organization that allows students to share their interests in performance vehicles at our weekly meetings while building long lasting friendships with fellow bobcats.
Events: San Antonio Raceway: 1/4 mile track, Saltlick BBQ cruise, Bobcat Build, Sunday Funday cruise, and Harris Hill: Autocross.

Q: What are the meets like?.
A: Our weekly meets are diverse.
We host any and all vehicles ranging from motorcycles to big ol' diesel trucks.
Our presence varies.
Sometimes we'll have meets that take up one entire parking lane at the stadium and other time we'll have maybe 6 cars out.
It all depends on weather and school load.
We'll have announcements about 30 min in discussing anything relevant to the club then we'll just hang till everyone disperses.
For those 21+ we also like to hit up the bar right after.

Q: Do I have to pay to be a member?.
A: Starting this semester, we have actually DROPPED "dues".
What we mean by this is that you no longer have pay to be on the private Facebook Gearhead page.
You will only have to pay your $30 if you want a shirt and a meal for our Salt Lick BBQ cruises.

Q: I really want to start messing with my ride but I know squat about cars.
Will the group help me?.
A: The Gearheads of Texas State was made to bring people together who share the same ideal that factory is kind of lame.
The private page provides a forum for Gearheads to come together and ask questions and provide knowledge.
It's common to have someone host a garage night where we get together and help out a fellow bobcat with their project.
We have members who have done motor swaps, forced induction, full stand alone ECUs, suspension replacement, and even some have experience with tuning software.

A: Street Racing is illegal and The Gearheads of Texas State do no condone or affiliate themselves with any sort of street racing.
We all enjoy watching the 1320 videos, but we stand our ground when we say that anyone arriving at the meet and saying something along the lines of "DEWD you're so slow, lolol race me bro you're scared swag swag" will be asked to leave.
We have a good standing record with the San Marcos PD that we would prefer to keep squeaky clean .
