Detailed description is We are a San Miguel County Volunteer Fire Department that serves the citizens and community of San Miguel County.
Our primary objective is to prevent and control emergency fire and rescue situations throughout our fire district.
Our district covers outside the City Limits of Las Vegas, NM and expands east to the Village of Trujillo on State Highway 104; North to the Village of Watrous on Interstate-25 and to the village of Sapello on State Highway 518, as well as up Gallinas Canyon, 5 miles before the Village of Gallinas, via State Road 65; we also cover several miles South of Las Vegas, NM via Interstate-25, and assist several other surrounding San Miguel County Volunteer Fire Districts..
