Detailed description is Local hardware store that has been family owned and operated since 1987.
In 1968 Richard Bresson worked at the Hardware Store when it was known as Langs Hardware he worked there until 1987 when he was able to purchase the Hardware Store himself and become not just an employee but the owner of Langs Hardware.
In December of 1998 Galesburg and Langs made national news when a gas leak caused an explosion and the store was lost.
In July of 1999 the store was rebuilt and re branded as Galesburg Hardware.
Richard, Karen and their two eldest sons Scott and Bill ran the store together.
Sadly Richard passed away in December of 2016.
The store is still currently run by Karen, Scott and Bill Bresson.
