Gadsden High School is part of the Gadsden Independent School District; its colors are maroon and gold.
Of the four high schools in the Gadsden School District, Gadsden High has the largest student population.Gadsden High serves as the high school for the surrounding towns of Mesquite, Vado, Berino, La Mesa, San Miguel, Chamberino, Anthony as well as various other unincorporated areas in the region.
Gadsden High School won the high school state football championships in 1953, 1954, 1955, 1961, and 1962.
