@87_independente Assim como todo grupo de manifestação cultural, a Escola de Samba Independente nasceu no final da década de 80 motivada por PAIXÃO! Paixão essa, oriunda de um grupo de torcedores apaixonados pelo São Paulo Futebol Clube, mas que tinham um outro AMOR em comum: O SAMBA, O CARNAVAL! .

Em meados do ano 2000 a Torcida Independente começou a se organizar para participar do Carnaval de São Paulo e para tanto foi criado o Bloco Independente..

Após alguns anos, o antigo bloco, tornou-se ESCOLA DE SAMBA e, oficialmente em 2009 competiu, quando incorporou a Malungos do Samba em seu nome oficial.
Porém em 2012, , a escola passou a se chamar : GRÊMIO RECREATIVO CULTURAL ESCOLA DE SAMBA INDEPENDENTE TRICOLOR.
Desde então, a Escola vem ascendendo ano a ano conquistando campeonatos, o último, do Grupo 1 em 2014..

Por méritos e com reconhecimento de toda sociedade sambística, a Escola se prepara para em 2015 estrear em grande estilo no disputado Grupo de Acesso da LIGA DAS ESCOLAS DE SAMBA, e promete não medir esforços para num futuro bem próximo atingir o Grupo das Escolas Especiais.
