Starting out from a humble shop house unit along Joo Chiat Road selling tiles, Futar has come a long way since it was founded in 1971 by our founder Mr Choo Hwee Ming.
We started by only specializing in Japanese tiles 40 years ago, and now we’ve grown to become one of Singapore’s leading suppliers in construction finishing material..

We started expanding our resources on a global scale and by the 1980s, the company saw itself also being well-developed with ceramic and homogenous tiles from Spain, Italy, Turkey and China.
Futar further ventured into supplying natural stones in the 1990s, starting with marble and granite with resources from the Middle East, Western Europe, South and East Asia.

As the company expanded, we moved into our new office premises in the year of 2006, where we also started our own production plant when we had ample factory space in our newly built Changi North Way warehouse.
