Detailed description is Frostburg State University Summer Music Academy is a week-long educational experience in Western Maryland.
Summer Music Academy encourages individuals with experience playing string, woodwind, brass instruments and piano looking to develop their technique and musicality to be participate.
All levels of musicians are welcome! Each participant will be placed into either a chamber or large ensemble setting..

The Academy activities feature:.

Private Lesson and masterclasses form FSU Faculty and Guest Artists.
Evening faculty performances.
Chamber music coaching.
Outdoor activities in the beautiful setting of the Allegany Mountains.
Alexander Technique.
Exposure to Internationally renowned musicians, soloists and teachers.

Welcome to the Frostburg State University Summer Music Academy! Our mission is to develop individual musicianship for string, woodwind, brass and piano instrumentalists in a supportive environment.
Those above the age of 15 are encouraged to enroll in the academy.
All skill levels are welcome and a variety of price options are available to suit your needs.
During the one-week workshop each attendee will experience instruction from FSU music department faculty members and world-famous guest artists.
This year we are excited to welcome members of the Vienna Philharmonic, Canadian Brass, Boston Symphony Orchestra and National Symphony Orchestra.
Our Academy is able to accommodate a maximum of 60 students.
Early application is recommended.
The application must be COMPLETED and all parts RECEIVED by 3 pm (Eastern Standard Time) on April 30, 2016.

The Frostburg State University Summer Music Academy offers six payment plan alternatives:.
.
Plan I: $1,380 - International students.
Includes: pick-up from airport, two nights hotel in Washington D.C., sightseeing in Washington D.C., academy tuition, room and all board (3 meals/day).
Plan II: $1180 - International student parent's fee.
Includes: pick-up from airport, two nights hotel in Washington D.C., concert tickets and room and all board (3 meals/day).
Plan III: $895 - Includes tuition, and shared room and board.
Plan IV: $995 - Includes tuition, and single room and board.
Plan V: $688 - Includes tuition and 2 meals/day (Lunch + Dinner).
Plan VI: $480 - Includes tuition only.
Dorm room key deposit (Due upon arrival): $100 refundable to student if key is returned at the end of festival..

REFUND POLICY.
.
Refund requests must be made within 45 days of your registration and prior to May 20th, or no refund will be given.
Only 70% of your tuition payment can be refunded.
The only reason to request a refund is in the event your Visa is rejected, no other reason would be accepted.
