The Friends of Pooh Fund is a registered 501(c) 3 charitable all-volunteer organization which provides financial assistance to qualified full-time residents of Dare & Currituck Counties (NC) whose dogs and cats have been diagnosed with cancer and who cannot afford the necessary treatment due to financial limitations.
Treatment may include surgery, oral and intravenous chemotherapy, and palliative care.
Since its inception in late 2006, Friends of Pooh has helped more than 70 dogs and cats diagnosed with cancer who would otherwise not have been able to undergo the necessary treatment.
