Earning her way through school as a Bookkeeper for Loncto CPA, and promoted to Account Manager for their largest Client, Candra received her degree in Accounting and Computer Programming from the Kelley Business Institute, and then through additional education she received her Real Estate and Broker License.
She also received continuing educational credits through NCCC, NU and the American Business Association’s Accredited Educational Programs.
She then managed property at Wildwood Acres, in charge of rehabbing 173 townhomes with an out-of-state developer.
From there she took a job with Socks Galore & More at the former Rainbow Center, the position afforded her the opportunity to travel as part of their research and development team, she also traveled to numerous Tourist Cities training managers of new stores from the east coast to the west coast..

Candra then became an active member of the Niagara Falls Business Women’s Association, she held the position of President, Vice President and other Executive roles while under her leadership growing the membership to 150% in one year and raising over $10,000 for scholarship and community outreach programs.
Founding member and president of the Miss Niagara County Scholarship Program she helped raise tens of thousands of Scholarship Monies for Local Students.
Candra was most honored and humbled when she was successful in winning a seat on the Niagara Falls City Council in 2001..

In 2003, she and her husband Richard started the insurance brokerage company Insurance Solutions.
She went on to co-found the Niagara Falls Chamber of Commerce, facilitating its incorporation, and establishing its by-laws and operating procedures.

It hasn’t been an easy road for Candra.
Her father a Sergeant in the US Marian Corp was a POW in Japan during WWII and suffered a great deal of PTSD during her formative years.
More recently, the loss of her granddaughter due to cancer and her husband’s successful fight with two cancers has caused Candra took a reprieve from her advocacy to care for her family.
But the challenges she has faced seems to give her an even greater strength of resolve.
She is known as having a great deal of tenacity, one who won’t back down, and as a “bulldog when focused on one thing.”.
