Possiede diversi terreni nella capitale e diversi alberghi. Nel 1993, Franco Sensi acquisisce il pacchetto di maggioranza, insieme a Mezzaroma dell'A.S. Roma S.P.A. Nello stesso anno, il 13 novembre, diventa l'unico proprietario della Società A.S. Roma. Con lui, l'A.S. Roma vince uno Scudetto (2001), due Supercoppe Italiane (2001 - 2007) e due coppe Italia (2007 - 2008) e per cinque volte è vice Campione d'Italia. Attualmente la figlia Rossella Sensi ricopre l'incarico da amminitratore delegato dell'A.S. Roma. E' stato nominato Cavaliere del Lavoro nel 1995 e ha ricevuto a Tor Vergata il premio "etica per lo sport" per la sua attività pluriennale nell'A.S. Roma. Durante il suo percorso da presidente dell'A.S. Roma, Franco Sensi acquisisce la società 'U.S. Città di Palermo' nel 2000, ottenendo la promozione in Serie B l'anno successivo. I Funerali sono stati eseguiti il 20 Agosto, nella Basilica di San Lorenzo, a Roma, e la salma risiede nella tomba di famiglia al Verano. Numerose sono state le presenze illustre e dei tifosi romanisti. Franco Sensi è attualmente considerato il più importante Presidente della A.S. Roma, considerando la sua carica durata per ben 15 anni.
