I am very passionate about growing flowers! Flourish Farm is a West Sacramento urban farm dedicated to producing fresh, beautiful flowers for sale to grocery stores, florists, and the public.
I am committed to sustainable farming practices and being involved in a public school outdoor education program.
I am so happy to be involved in the West Sacramento community..

My flower journey reminds me of the Beatles song "Long, Long, Long." I have been fascinated with flowers ever since I was a child, and I am excited to be at this point in my life embarking on such a wonderful adventure.
In my photos I will try to share the process of staring a small urban farm and what is involved in cut flower production..

Although I have grown flowers in my various gardens over the years, I mostly learned all about farming through my 7 years as an employee and volunteer with the UC Davis Student Farm Organic Market Garden.
A special focus of my time there has been promoting pollinator habitat through planting flowering native shrubs, perennials, and wildflowers.
Many thanks to my dear mentors and friends there and of course to all the amazing UC Davis students who make up the "student" part of the Student Farm.
