Some of the active research areas include algebraic geometry, arithmetic geometry, biofilms, biomathematics, collegiate mathematics education, complex analysis, computational anatomy and pattern analysis, complex dynamical systems, computational acoustics, computational neuroscience, conformal mapping, cryptography, econophysics, dynamical systems, financial mathematics and computational finance, fluid dynamics, game theory, geometric topology, harmonic analysis, high performance computing, homological algebra, homotopy theory, human brain mapping, knotting of DNA, mathematical economics, mathematical physics, mathematics history and biography, number theory, numerical analysis, partial differential equations, pattern recognition, physiology, protein geometry, shape theory, stochastic analysis, and symbolic computation.
