Detailed description is Owners: Jon and Ruthie Hanson We moved to Rutherfordton, NC in May 2011 from the SC Lowcountry.
Ever since we've been working towards launching Flip Flop Farms.
Where did the name come from? Not only did we want to bring "a little of the coast to the country", but we both live in our flip flops pretty much year round.
Yep, even in the winter! We grow a wide variety of fresh produce, herbs, and have free range eggs from our Rhode Island Red hens (The Marge's...yep, they are all named Marge) Boer goat meat and free range chickens will hopefully be added to our offerings by late summer.
Look for us at the Tri City Tailgate Market in Forest City this season.
