The Five Mile Point Fire Company was incorporated in 1950.
The district that we cover has shown great residential, commercial and industrial growth.
Some of the industry that fill our two industrial parks include Frito Lay, Felchar Manufacturing, and L3 Communications along with several trucking terminals, two large truck stops, a chemical warehouse and several other commercial businesses .
The Five Mile Point Fire Company provides primary fire protection to businesses and the residents in our fire district, which is located in the Town of Kirkwood.

We are dispatched by Broome County Office of Emergency Services 911 center on low band channel (33.90) and operations are on channels 2 (33.94) and channel 3 (33.98).
