Festrausch is a very handsome and talented stallion with supple and expressive movement.
His uphill gaits show good swing and articulation.
Festrausch began his career in Germany, competing in Materiale and Young Horse classes where he earned high scores in good company- even competing and winning over horses such as Olympic Champion Salinero when they were both 5 years old.
That same year, Festrausch finished 4th at the FEI World Championships for Young Horses.
He was purchased by Hilltop Farm in 2000, and under Scott Hassler’s training he once again earned qualifying scores for the FEI World Young Horse Championships.
He continued training and competing in Germany and in the US through Prix St.
George before retiring to the breeding shed at Hilltop Farm.
His successful breeding career is reflected in his many attractive and talented progeny.
Festrausch came to Cazenovia College in 2010, where this trend has continued.
