Detailed description is Feathered Angels Haven is a farm animal Microsanctuary located outside of Cincinnati, Ohio.
We focus on providing care for special needs hens.
Feathered Angels is a small home-based sanctuary located about 15 miles east of Cincinnati.
We currently have 14 birds, and we take in special needs hens who need to be separated or in a small flock due to vision, age, physical or injury related issues.
We are able to provide individualized, stabilized care in a home environment..

We started becoming interested in caring for these special girls nine years ago when it was discovered that one of our own small flock members, Beep the Chicken, had digestive issues and needed to be separated.
Beep was monitored daily, and her crop gavaged weekly.
Beep lived inside our home with us as a member of the family, and became the most special individual in our lives.

Sadly, she passed in March of 2015, and to help fill the huge void of her absence, my house mate and I began to take on special needs girls–ones that nobody wanted to “deal with.”.

Beep’s legacy lives on in our work to help other hens who need personalized care.
My house mate and I work different shifts to accommodate the girl’s care schedule.
We hope to someday become a registered non-profit and take on volunteers to assist in our efforts.
