FARO DE VIGO es el diario decano de la prensa española.
Se imprimió por primera vez el 3 de noviembre de 1853 en el taller tipográfico que tenía su fundador, don Angel de Lema y Marina, en la viguesa calle de la Oliva, con la idea de "coadyuvar a los intereses de Galicia".
