Uma das características mais marcantes da Famecos é a permanente combinação entre reflexão e prática, algo indispensável para uma área do porte e com as características da Comunicação.
Ao longo de décadas de experiência, vários laboratórios foram constituídos a fim de que alunos e professores trabalhassem em conjunto.
Nestes espaços, o estudante atua em uma perspectiva pautada pelas lógicas do mercado de trabalho, mas sem prescindir de um permanente processo de orientação e da busca de caminhos que não sejam meramente tutelados por práticas consagradas ou regulares.
