Detailed description is Localizada no interior de Panambi, atende alunos das localidades de Linha Gramado, Assis Brasil, Inhame, Maranei, Passo dos Lopes, Entre Rios e Fiúza.
A Escola Estadual de Ensino Fundamental São João Batista foi criada por meio do Decreto Estadual de Criação Nº 12.241, de 30 de março de 1961.
A escola atende estudantes da região oeste da zona rural do município de Panambi.
Nestes mais de 50 anos de atividade, a escola passou por grandes mudanças físicas e pedagógicas.

Inicialmente, a escola atendia apenas a alunos das séries iniciais do Ensino Fundamental, sendo que o funcionamento das séries finais foi gradativamente sendo autorizado, até o ano de 1987, em que a primeira turma de 8ª série foi autorizada.
A partir do ano de 1994 a escola passou a atender alunos da Educação Infantil.
Desde o ano de 2002 a escola adota regime de organização curricular por Etapas e avaliação por meio de Parecer Descritivo.
Tal abordagem vêm apresentando ótimos resultados, pois desde o ano de 2002 a escola registra índices de aprovação de 100%.
