My background: My family came to Revere when I was five years old to pursue a better life in a tight knit community.
We moved to the Riverside section of the Point of Pines and although my family is still there, I have moved to the other side of Ward 5 on Tapley Avenue.
I went to Revere public schools and graduated from Revere High School in 2003.
I went on to achieve my bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Salem State University in 2008, and I am working towards completing my master’s degree in Organizational Leadership in 2018.
I currently work as a Training Manager for the largest state-chartered credit union in Massachusetts and as a Stand Attendant at the TD Garden as an active union member of UFCW Local 1445.
My first job was actually in our neighborhood at Telly's restaurant.
Growing up in our neighborhood, everyone knew each other.
We would have block parties and field days where everyone would get together.
We would play sports down Gibson park from sunrise to sunset and you could always tell where we were as kids by the amount of bicycles in the front yard.
We had community activities like Operation Field Sweep where everyone got involved to clean up our neighborhood.
I want to see our community come together again.

I am running for this position because I feel that the residents of Ward 5, and the city, are not being given the voice they deserve.
Our city is now outgrowing its infrastructure which has created many new problems for the residents.
Furthermore, there is no plan in place to sustain or support our recent growth.
Our city council must take notice of these challenges and plan accordingly.
The lines of communication between the city council and the residents must be opened to provide faster responses to our concerns.
I personally have received no response from several communications to some councilors through direct email or through the city clerk.
After attending the Mayor's Ward 5 community meeting at the Point of Pines Yacht Club last year, I learned that I am not alone.
This is unacceptable and must change.
I plan to apply my business acumen and work ethic in a way that will benefit the community.
I will bring professionalism and a better understanding of economics and business to the city council.
I intend to bring a fresh perspective and new ideas that will represent the best interest of my neighbors.
