In der (sehr kleinen) Altstadt des Steinfurter Ortsteil Burgsteinfurt liegt in einem entsprechenden Gebäude Eppings Biercafé..
Der Gastraum "schlängelt" sich mehr durch das historische Gemäuer als das er einem strengen geometrischen Grundmuster folgt.
Dementsprechend ist kaum eine Sitzgelegenheit wie die andere.
Stilecht trennt ein mehrere Meter langer Tresen den "Barkeeper" vom Publikum, hinter dem er nicht nur Bier zapft und Softdrinks in die Gläser füllt, sondern auch hervorragende Cocktails mixt.
In der Küche werden diverse Speisen zubereitet: Salate, Nudeln, Flammkuchen, Schnitzel, Bratkartoffel, Baguettes u.a...
Und weder auf Getränke noch auf das Essen muss man lange warten, denn das Personal ist super-freundlich, aufmerksam und immer in Bewegung..
Das muss sich wohl schon rumgesprochen haben, denn es kann auf einem Samstagabend sehr schnell sehr voll werden.
Wobei mir persönlich eine Tatsache besonders gut gefällt: das Publikum (ja, ich gehöre schließlich auch dazu - aber das meine ich jetzt nicht)..
Hier treffen sich alle Altersgruppen..
Ich gehörte schon vor 20 bis 25 Jahren zu den Gästen von Eppings Biercafé.
Mit der Zeit kehrte man hier immer seltener ein.
Und irgendwann glaubte ich mich zu alt für die Orte meiner jungen Jahre.

das führt jetzt wohl zu weit..
Auf jeden Fall waren wir vor über einem Jahr wieder hier, und bei dem einen Mal blieb es dann nicht..

Hier reihe ich mich gerne mit einer guten Bewertung ein! Das Essen und das Ambiente in Kombination mit dem vorwiegend jungen Publikum (und die, die es geblieben sind) ist sehr gut! Meiner Meinung ist die Mischung aus Musikkneipe und Restaurant sehr gelungen.
Ein Hauch von Studentenkneipe rundet es perfekt ab! Ungezwungen und lecker!!!! Preis/Leistung voll ok! Unser Tip - Käse-Lauchsuppe..
