Over the next five months, our company will be helping children train for the 2017 Blue Cross.
and Blue Shield of Alabama Kids Mercedes Marathon which will be held Saturday, February 11.
at Linn Park in downtown Birmingham.
The kid’s marathon is an innovative, endurance building.

Our goal is to assist your children in building.

Last year, approximately 4800 students and 95 schools from the Birmingham metro area.

It’s a great way to teach our students the importance of a.

Children will run the distance of a full marathon (26.2 miles) over the course of the five-month program.
To achieve this goal, kids must train for the last mile of their marathon with us by running a total of 25.2 between August 29th and January 21st to qualify for race day participation..

As each child completes the final mile on the actual marathon course on Saturday, February 11, 2017, he/she will receive a Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama Kids Mercedes Marathon.
Finisher’s Medal, a miniature version of the Mercedes Marathon finisher’s medal.
We will run each Monday at 5:30pm.
A designated location will be set in the event that weather won’t allow outside running.
Please be sure your children dress appropriately for this activity.
To make this easier for everyone involved, we will keep a master running log of the miles ran to turn into the Marathon office..
