Die Hütte gehört der OeAV-Sektion Touristenklub Innsbruck und liegt im östlichen Teil der Verwallgruppe auf dem oberen Kapplerboden.
Talorte sind Pettneu am Arlberg im Stanzer Tal und Kappl im Paznaun..

Der Hohe Riffler ist mit 3.168 Meter der höchste Gipfel der Verwallgruppe und liegt ganz im Osten des Gebiets..
