Our football & cheer coaches have many years of experience & success in youth sports!.

We believe our coaches have the experience to teach your child to be a contributing participant.

ARTICLE X.
MANDATORY PLAY RULE (MPR).
The following shall be the Minimum Mandatory Play Rule for the Edison Jr.
Vikings youth football franchise.
Number of plays is based on the number of players eligible, dressed and ready to play at the start of the game..
Team with: Minimum plays:.
12-25 players 10 plays.
26-40 players 8 plays.
A.
The plays must be from the line of scrimmage..
B.
Punts shall not be used in fulfilling the minimum play rule..
C.
A play shall not count toward fulfillment of the minimum play rule if the play results in a penalty which causes it to be replayed..
D.
All players shall be provided their mandatory plays by participation in “active” plays, without the intent to minimize the action or integrity of the game.
Plays such as, but not limited to, having the center snap the ball to the quarterback, and then fall to the ground or take a knee, shall not be Considered active plays..
E.
Each level will have a (administrative coach) assigned to chart the number of plays each player has played!.
F.
It is the responsibility of each administrative coach to maintain a Player Participation play chart during the game to ensure each player has met their minimum plays..
G.
The completed minimum play charts will be turned into the EJV Franchise Head Coach after each game for further review..
H.
Players who are facing disciplinary action may be forced to sit out a game.
These absent individuals and players must be identified, reported to Franchise Head Coach prior to the start of the game.
They will also be required to remove their helmet & shoulder pads..
I.
It is the responsibility of the head coach to have a picture ID of each player on his team.
These pictures should be placed in a binder and must be present at each game..
J.
a player’s refusal to play a position will count as a play fulfilled..
K.
Players found not getting to complete MPR automatically start the next game with double the mandatory plays.
They will not be removed from the game until all plays are complete..
L.
IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EACH COACH TO ACT IN GOOD.
FAITH AND COMPLY WITH THE MINMUM PLAY RULE.
ANY.
COACH WHO DOES NOT COMPLY WITH THE MINIMUM PLAY.
RULE MAY FACE CORRECTIVE ACTION..
