§ Okulumuz 1970-1971 eğitim-öğretim yılında Diyarbakır Lisesi olarak İstasyon Caddesi’ndeki binada eğitim-öğretime başladı.1975-1976 öğretim yılında Eğitim Fakültesi karşısındaki binaya taşındı ve aynı isimle eğitim-öğretime devam etti.1991-1992 eğitim-öğretim yılında Hüseyin Uluğ Lisesi olarak adı ve yeri değişti.1992-1993 öğretim yılının yarıyıl tatilinde adı ve yeri tekrar değiştirildi.Günümüzde Birlik Lisesi olarak eğitim-öğretime devam etmektedir..

§ Okulumuz bünyesinde 18 derslik, 1 Kütüphane, 1Fizik Laboratuarı, Kimya Laboratuarı, 4 İdare Odası, Kalem Odası, 1 Öğretmenler Odası, 1 Teknoloji Odası, 1 Sigara İçme Odası, 1 Rehberlik Servisi bulunmaktadır..

§ Okulumuz, 1996-97-98-2002 yıllarında Atletizm Türkiye birinciliği, Masa Tenisi Bölge birinciliği, Futbol ikinciliği,Voleybol İl dördüncülüğü ve takım halinde İl birinciliği,Folklor de 1996-1997 İl ikinciliği, 97-98, 98-99’da İl birinciliği, 2001-2002’de il üçüncülüğü,2003-2004’de İl beşinciliği kazanmıştır..

Okulumuz ÖSS’ye öğrenci yerleştirmede Diyarbakır’daki genel liseler içinde 1998-2001 yılları arsında ilk beşte iken, bugün bu başarı orta seviyeye düşmüştür.
