hello dotted heart fans...for those of you new to my page, let me first start off by introducing myself and giving you a little background info.
my names nora, im a wife and a mama of two.
not only did I grow up in the farming community of ida, my husband and I recently bought and took over a centennial family farm in Dundee.
I have the utmost respect for the farm we live on...many would love to have the endless amount of pure, natural, outdoor back drops that I have to offer on our farm...but it doesn't stop there.
I also encourage clients to utilize the many unique spots up town with endless amount of character right in the heart of Dundee.

taking photos started out as just a hobby for me, in fact my very first photo shoot was taken by a borrowed camera, but it didn't stop there.
shortly after (with lots of persuading) my hubby and I purchased my very first "professional" camera...and this was only the beginning.
I knew from that day forward that I had found a passion that I never knew I had.
a passion that only comes around once in a life time and I knew I had to run with it...my heart and soul has gone into each and every single picture that I have ever taken.
the feeling I get when pressing my eye to camera, focusing my lens, gently pressing down on my trigger, waiting for that raw, intimate moment of perfection, firing my shot and capturing that two tenths of a second moment that can never be replaced the same way again is truly indescribable.
picking up my camera for me, is like falling in love with the love of your life over and over and over again.
how many "love at first sights" are we entitled to in one lifetime? .
whats with the name...
dotted heart? whelp, shortly after our second baby was born (which was only 360 days after our first baby was born, yes you read that right and yes it is possible) I struggled with the "baby blues" as my doctor once called it.
however my "baby blues' turned into an every day struggle of finding piece and happiness within myself, and everyone around me.
I needed change, I needed adventure, I needed to get out of the house and away from the poopy diapers, endless amount of bottles, followed by endless amount of spit up, followed by more poop filled diapers...so I did what any mom would do...I went and got my first and most likely last tattoo....hahahahah, not that I don't absolutely LOVE my tattoo and/or the meaning behind it, but being covered in them and not having a vividly clear explanation behind each one brings me back to why it'll be my last....with all this being said, on that day that I got to leave my house for a few brief hours and do something just for myself, by myself, I received the worlds smallest tattoo on my left wrist....on the left because its closest to my heart and I was forever branded with a heart and two tiny dots next to it, symbolizing my two perfect, happy, full of life babies that I forever wanted to be reminded how important they truly are to me.
a year or more later there I was sitting at a computer trying to construct that perfect name for my photography business and that's when it came to me..."dotted heart".
enough about my past and the history behind dotted heart...cheers to the future...I am currently settling into the idea of expanding my view and experiences behind the camera, although I highly enjoy family and children's photography I am highly passionate about couples....weather it be a getting ready to tie the knot session (aka engagement session) or getting hitched session (aka wedding photography) or welcoming their brand new bundle of joy into world (belly pictures or in hospital birthing pictures) there is nothing else that compares to these emotionally passionate moments in couples life's and I LIVE for moments like these...the happily ever after moments that take peoples breath away or brings tears to their eyes.
capturing moments like these is like living in a fairy tale that you get to relive every time one of my pictures is viewed..
I wont stop here, ill never settle for anything less then what I feel is perfect.
I will continue my journey and education (watching tutorials, and reading online on "how to" and "what not to do") to becoming the photographer I only dreamt of being at one time.
I am only prepping myself for a lifetime of success in delivering the most beautiful photos..
