At the encouragement of my fellow Executive Board Members at FOP Lodge 6, and with the blessings of Sheriff Blake Dorning, and my wife Michelle, I have committed to the race for the Position of Vice President of the Alabama State Lodge FOP.
We, my family and I, have truly been blessed to serve the FOP Locally and are asking for the opportunity to use that experience gained locally to serve at the State Level..

TL Blakemore Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 6 elected me to serve as the current Lodge President.
Previously they elected me to serve as Vice President, 2nd Vice President and Sergeant-at-Arms.
The previous Lodge President appointed me to serve as Chairman of the Huntsville/Madison County Law Enforcement Memorial Service, Chairman of Christmas Prayers with a COP, and Chairman of the Host Lodge Committee for the Alabama State FOP Conference hosted in Huntsville Alabama..

Sheriff Dorning assigned me to serve as the Public Information Officer and Support Division Commander of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office on October 10, 2018.
The Support Division consists of Communications (Dispatch), Records/Warrants, Fleet Service and Facilities and operates with 25 employees.
The Chaplain’s Corps recruited me to serve as their Liaison to the Sheriff where I continue service..

Serving in the US Army, Alabama National Guard and US Army Reserve for twenty six years and completing a three year mobilization in support of the War on Terror before retiring as First Sergeant in July of 2008 was an honor and tradition that runs in the Shaw Family.
My grandfather served in WWII, my father during the Cuban Missile Crisis and my brother will retire from the Air Force April 30th after thirty years of service..

After nomination by Sheriff Dorning and being selected by the FBI to attend the FBI National Academy, I attended and graduated from the 265th Session.
Additional training opportunities has afforded me the opportunity to be a graduate of CIT Montana, the FBI First Line Supervisor Course, PPCT Defensive Tactics Instructor Course, 98th Basic Session Northeast Alabama Police Academy, US Army First Sergeant Course, Battle Staff NCO Course, Advanced NCO Course, Basic NCO Course, Primary Leadership Development Course and other Law Enforcement and Military Courses.

After being raised on Sand Mountain in Marshall County by Donny and Reta Shaw, I graduated from Albertville High School and entered into military service.
In 1990 the Army assigned me to Redstone Arsenal and since Madison County has been my home.
