The Junior College was recognised by the Education Department, Government of Maharashtra by an order dated 22nd October 1980.
By virtue of natural growth, a full fledged Degree College was started in June 1983.
The college is permanently affiliated to the University of Mumbai and is recognized by UGC.
The college has faculties of Arts, Science and Commerce on aided basis and B.Sc.
Computer Science and Bachelor of Mass Media / BMS, B.Com.
(A&F), B.Com (B&I) on unaided basis..
