Students will obtain knowledge in specific areas of dentistry to include infection control, radiology (both digital and manual), preventive dentistry, dental materials, four-handed dentistry and dental office management as well as all fields of dentistry.

The Associate of Applied Science Degree and certificate in dental assisting along with the Registered Dental Assistant certificate (upon successful completion of the RDA course and a passing score of 70 or above) will allow the student to pursue employment as a dental assistant in a dental office to include general dentistry or a specialty in dentistry.
Students graduating from the Dental Assisting program (upon successful completion of the all dental assisting courses and a passing score of 70 or above for the RDA, Nitrous Oxide, Coronal Polishing and Pit and Fissure Sealant portions of the curriculum) will have the necessary certificates to include the Registered Dental Assistant, Nitrous Oxide, Coronal Polishing and Pit and Fissure Sealant certifications needed to be part of a successful dental team..
