Detailed description is Woorworking, cabinet making, wood design, shelves, wood repair work and custom projects.
I have been doing woodworking projects for over 70 years having built my first project, a wooden wheelbarrow at 5 years old.
I have built barns, cabinets, boats, furniture, turnings, carvings and a multitude of other things too numerous to mention.
Seems like I always have had some sort of a woodshop no matter where I lived.
When marilyn and I were first married I built some end tables for us in the living room of our 3 room apartment.
Now my shop occupies the first and second floors of a 24 by 37' barn on our farm.
This heated building contains a lifetime accumulation of tools and machinery for my work.
Upstairs are wood racks of dried hardwood lumber saved snd stored from the days when I owned a sawmill and dry kiln.
Farm logs cut and dried supplied the red oak, ash, cherry and other hardwoods which make up this collection..
I love to build things from wood and as you will see from the photo gallery samples this includes a wide variety of project types..
Now that I have more time on my hands as the farm work here is much reduced I desire to use these skills in creating things on a limlted basis for others and thus has been born the idea of Dayspring Woodshop.
I take orders or commissions on a selected basis to build or repair custom Items for others.
My rates are reasonable as I do so appreciate the opportunity to create things for others using my accumulated skills.
