Ans: I am a fantasy and fairy artist. I love what I do!! I especially love the spring, summer and fall because I get the opportunity to venture out to faires and festivals across the Midwest and meet new people to share my artwork with! I have been an artist my whole life- or at least since I could pick up something to draw with. I have been painting consistently for about 6 years. I started with oils in 2000, but in 2003 discovered Fluid Acrylics, an awesome kind of paint that is the perfect blend of watercolors and acrylics. I can create beautiful washes, and bold, vibrant colors all at the same time. People often ask me how long it takes to create a painting. I don't have a straight answer for that, because it might take me a matter of a few hours from start to finish, or 3 to 4 years depending on how often I walk away from it and go back to it later (that happens more than I care to admit...). And it has very little to do with the size of the painting- I found that out the hard way. When you go smaller, detail is key. So much of the time creating a tiny painting gets wrapped up in the details. As I keep creating, I hope to develop my painting more and more, exhibiting the passion for what I do.
