Detailed description is Since 1998, you've been waiting in the longest lines at Whiting's Pierogi Fest for the best pierogies, as voted by YOU for the last 8 years running! Join us here to brag, place orders, or get in-the-know about where we are and what we do! Dan's Pierogies got our start in 1998 by jumping head-first into Whiting's Pierogi Fest.
At the time, we had no store front, we decided to open ourselves up to see how we would be received by the community at a world-renowned festival, known to make or break a business.
With a few successful years, we were able to open our first store.
Shortly after, we outgrew that space and moved to the location known as Condes"s.
We would like to take this time to let our customers know that while this location still exists, this is NOT Dan's, and we have no further affiliation with this location.
After selling this location, we picked up and moved to Schererville in 2005.
Our location was in the middle of Lincoln Plaza on U.S.
30.
We made it through the holiday season of 2007 before closing to focus on family and bettering the business for the future.
Since then we have been traveling with our food trailer doing various summer and fall festivals for 3 years starting 2013.
We decided it was time and way over due to re-open a store front.
Therefore, we decided on a great location in Highland, IN were we are now currently located.
