Open 7 days! Dakini Movement is an alternative fitness program for adult women offering classes in pole dancing, aerials, strength training, body conditioning, flexibility, yoga, and more!! Created by lifelong dancer and yoga instructor, Jeanine Caparoso, Dakini Signature Classes (Foundation, Passage, and Journey) combine elements of yoga, ballet, and pole to create this unique workout.
Other classes offered at the studio (Pole Technique, Strong & Sexy, Yoga, Flexibility Training, etc) were specially designed to compliment the Dakini practice, and give a well-rounded workout.
Inspired by the goddess from Tibetan Buddhism of the same name, Dakini means female enlightened energy and literally translates to Sky Dancer (or she who transcends the sky).
Dakini classes take place in dim lighting with no mirrors ...
this is to encourage natural body awareness and sensuality.
The environment is judgement free and non-competitive.
All students progress at their own rates.
