長年、大山寺の旅館で働きながら、休みのたびに山に登り、世界を旅し…そしていつしか「この大好きな山で、世界各地で見てきたような、素敵なゲストハウスを開業することができたら…」と夢を抱くようになりました。.

開業の夢を追い求めて約7年間、諦めずに思いを抱き続けてきた私を応援してくださる方々が、約40年の歴史に幕を降ろそうとしていた小さな宿「大山寿荘(ことぶきそう)」と私の縁をとりもってくださいました。.

そしてオーナーさんのご厚意により、新たな宿としてこの建物を引き継がせていただけることになったのです。.

宿とそこにある人々の思いを継ぎたい、という願いから、宿の名前に「寿」の一字を譲り受け、古い歴史のある大山寺をイメージさせる「庵」の文字と合わせて「寿庵(じゅあん)」と名付けました。 .
