“My journey has been towards gaining understanding and has involved a search for places to create work and through that creating to find and define a self.
One of the places I found along the way was Wheaton Village as it was, Wheaton Arts as it is today.
I was fortunate enough to undertake two CGCA residencies there (1989 & 1991).
The residencies gave me the space and time to focus and the occasion to explore new techniques and concepts unrestricted by everyday restraints, a boon for any artist no matter where they are in their career.
It is important to me to keep my work moving forward and both residencies provided the opportunity to keep the work fresh and current.
The development and extension of my skills and thinking during my times at Wheaton helped enhance the quality of my creative practice and continue to do so today.
