Detailed description is Upcycled wine bottle crafts into incense burners, hurricane lanterns and wind chimes.
I also make superhero capes for children.

My craft business is a hobby I do on the side.
I have a full time job running a medical practice.
Believe it or not, I started with beaded jewelry, but found that the craft show business was saturated with jewelry vendors.
I added incense burners for a unique factor and it worked because no one else made them.
They are a big seller for me and I have a large following.

Five years ago, I was a vendor at a kite festival with lots of families with children.
My sales were very slow and I was told by the vendor next to me, that my products were very nice and well made, but they did not appeal to children.
That night, I went home and tried to think of what to make to appeal to the younger crowd.
I researched handmade items on Etsy and Pinterest and came up with superhero capes.
At my next festival, I had 5 capes on a clothes rack.
The response was very good and I sold 4 of them.
I now have 15 different capes, including toddler sizes, adult sizes (upon request) and even dog capes (upon request)..

My handpainted wind chimes and hurricane lanterns started because my friends and family gave me all their empty wine bottles for my incense burners.
However, many of the bottles were 1.5 liter size and too big.
I did some research and bought a bottle cutter.
After trial and error, I ended up with a good supply of cut bottles.
I painted some hummingbirds and flowers, added hardware and the wind chime became my new hot item that Summer..

This year, I have added another item which utilizes all the satin fabric remnants from the capes.
I taught myself to make Kanzashi flower petals and made hair accessories, brooches and statement necklaces.
I displayed them at my first two shows of the season and had a very good response.

My items are created by whatever inspires me at the time and the materials I have on hand.
