Detailed description is Le CPPFL est une association ayant pour objet de sauvegarder et de valoriser la mémoire du patrimoine ferroviaire Luchonnais.
Créé en mai 2016 à l’initiative de deux amis, le Comité de Protection du Patrimoine Ferroviaire Luchonnais ou CPPFL est destiné à toutes les personnes s’intéressant aux chemins de fer du Luchonnais.
Il a pour but de protéger et de sauvegarder la mémoire du chemin de fer à crémaillère reliant Luchon à Superbagnères et de tous les autres ouvrages constituant le patrimoine ferroviaire touristique ou industriel Luchonnais comme le funiculaire de la Chaumière ou le funiculaire EDF de Prat Long en participant à la promotion et au développement du Musée de la Crémaillère à Superbagnères, en organisant des animations culturelles (conférences/ expositions temporaires/ randonnées commentées etc...) mais aussi en collectant des archives comme des photographies par exemple ou bien en éditant des brochures..
