La safranière de Couleur & Saveur se situe sur les hauteurs de La Bachellerie, aux portes du Périgord Noir.
C’est en ce lieu où il fait bon vivre que j’ai décidé en 2015 d’installer mes premiers bulbes de Crocus Sativus..
Dans un souci de qualité, j’ai d’abord contacté le président du conservatoire botanique du safran du Quercy, afin qu’il m’apporte ses précieux conseils pour le choix de mes bulbes.
Et c’est tout naturellement que je me suis tournée vers une safranière du Lot, exploitation certifiée ECOCERT, afin de m’y approvisionner en bulbes bio et enregistrés au conservatoire botanique, le SAFRANERIO, auprès duquel j'ai engagé les démarches nécessaires à l'affiliation de mon exploitation..
A la fin du mois d’août les 8000 bulbes étaient en terre sur une parcelle de 300m².
C’est au matin du 2 octobre que la première fleur est apparue..
