The Club - The Cork Motorcycle Racing & Vintage Club was formed in Feb 2011 by former committee members of the 2010 ‘Munster 100’ Motorcycle Road Races together with others from the world of motorcycle racing, with the aim to bring a fresh approach to promoting safe motorcycling and cater for members who race motorcycles as well as those who ride motorcycles for pleasure..
Young Rider Strategy - Cork is long recognised for its motorcycle racing history and tradition in all disciplines and it is this tradition that the CMRVC aims to continue and promote into the future, while it is the only club currently developing a young riders strategy – initially, experienced club members passed on their experience to young riders and the club also paid entry fees for young riders.
Taking this strategy to help young riders a stage further, the club purchased a prepared race bike for young members to try out, with one young member chosen every year to have the use of the bike for one season to help get their career off to a good start..
Events - The club has organised various events so far including numerous charity runs, a fun and new event in the shape of the Lightning Sprint through the town of Dunmanway, the Cork Motorcycle Road Races at Glanmire and Hillclimbs at Jagoes Mills and Roberts Cove, Superpole events at Kartworld and Christmas Trials events.
Top of the club’s event list is The Monster Motorcycle Show held bi-annually at Silversprings Hotel in Cork with its legendary eve of show Stephen Davison Slide Show, while special guests have included TT record holder John McGuinness, former Grand Prix winner and WSBK star, Simon Crafar, Road Racers Michael and William Dunlop and the cream of Irish Road Racers..

Drag Races are in the club’s short term plans while long term plans include a return of Road Racing to Cork.
