Detailed description is Welcome to Coosa River Weimaraners! Our love affair with Weimaraners started in 2004.
That spring we brought our first weim into our family.
She was the belle of the ball for us.
Literally stole our hearts.
It was through her we learned that weims have a personality all their own: quirky, energetic, attention stealing, loyal, lovable, protective, forgiving, extremely intelligent...
and not to mention a stunning appearance.
We decided then that our family would always have a weim apart of us forever.
We lost our sweet girl in 2013.
It took us a good year to even think of bringing another animal into our family again.
When we felt it was time to begin the search for our new family member, we knew without a doubt it had to be another weim..

We decided to step out and begin breeding in the Spring of 2016.
We have partnered with Southern Kennels in Clanton, Alabama to bring back the bloodline of their famous Sires: Bentley Bear Helfinstine (Diesel's Dad) and Gideon Bigtoes Helfinstine (Diesel's Grandfather).
While researching proper breeding guidelines as we began to build CRW, we learned more about hunting and training our dogs as well.
We recently decided to join NAVHDA (North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association) to get more involved with training and hunting our dogs.
We're excited to learn and grow as trainers as well as breeders.
We want you to have a great experience from a high quality breeder as you research and choose your new family member.
We strive for quality in our program, as well as in our dogs and pups.
We strictly follow all AKC breeding requirements.
Our dogs are not "business partners." They all are housebroken, loved on, and live indoors as a part of our family.
