Detailed description is Cooper County Cruisers Track Club is a non-for profit Track and Field and Cross Country Organization for YOUTH ages 5 to 14 in Cooper County Missouri and surrounding areas.
After dropping more than 100lbs through diet and exercise and running, I (Ashley Schmidt) decided it was time to teach others how to run.
As it turned out my loss was Cooper County's gain as the Cooper County Cruisers Track Club was formed in 2014.
The Cooper County Cruisers are a Missouri State recognized Organization that provides both Track and Field and Cross Country for all youth ageso 14 in the Cooper County and surrounding areas.

The Cooper County Cruisers Track Club is a traveling team, which provides experiences for kids inside and outside of Missouri.
The Club is also a member of The Central Missouri Athletic Circuit out of Columbia Missouri.
The Cruisers compete against kids from all around Mid Missouri and also provide opportunities for kids to go out of state for Regional and National events.

The Cruisers run two seasons throughout the year.
Our Track and Field season runs April through June, and practices every Monday and Wednesday at 6:00 p.m., at one of Boonville Missouri's local tracks.
The meets are held every Wednesday in June at 6:00 p.m.
at one of Columbia Missouri's High School Tracks.
At these meets and throughout our track season, kids are exposed to strength, agility, and endurance drills, proper running and breathing techniques, sprinting drills, all track and field running events, shot put, long jump, leadership roles and confidence building tools.
The cost to join the club for the Track Season is $30.00 per kid.

Our Cross Country season runs from August through November, and practices every Monday and Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.
at Boonville's Kemper Park.
Cross Country meets are held at various locations out of town on Saturdays and or Sundays.
Towns include, Fayette, Centralia, Columbia, Mexico, Fulton, and a Championship meet in Boonville.
Meet times on weekends vary from 10:00 a.m.
to 2:00 p.m.
At these meets and throughout our cross country season the kids are exposed to long distance running in either 2k, 3k, or 4k events based on age.
During this season the kids work on endurance, strength, speed drills, proper running and breathing techniques, confidence and leadership roles.
The cost to join the club for our Cross County season is also $30.00 per kid.

The Cooper County Cruisers Track Club is continuously growing and looking for kids in our Community who want to be part of this amazing, hard working, and talented team.
Numerous kids have gone on to compete in the Regional and National level.
