My love for Asian and Latin cuisine was influenced by my childhood and ethnic background, as well as my admiration and love for Asian culture.
With Puerto Rican, Dominican, and Samoan culture in my veins, these ethnicities made me want to learn about the cultures through the food.
Food is universal.
Not only does food let a person experience the unique tastes of every country, it says a little something about the people, too.
Every country has something unique to offer to the world through its use of foods and flavors.
Great meals allow us to taste the traditions and variances of each region - which is what CoMé Eatery aims to do.

Since I was a child, my love for Japanese culture and food has inspired me to expand my taste buds to other Asian countries like Thailand, Korea, Vietnam and the Philippines.
Further culinary research brought me to some of my first loves like; Lumpia, Sushi, Mochi and Phô..

Despite being geographically separated and speaking different languages, cultures within the Latin American and Asian countries are more similar than one would think.
They are both known for growing with strong family values and good work ethic.
As well as making delicious meals from similar ingredients like; cilantro, lime, rice & beans (as if they are ever separated), peppers (spicy & sweet), onions (of all kinds) and wonderfully fragrant spices & herbs.
Simple plate presentation with intense flavors & family oriented meals (no small portions here!) make Latin/Asian Cuisine fun to enjoy.

How did we come up with CoMé, you ask? There are many different origins for the name.
We can all relate to our mother, grandmother, or maternal figure making sure we had enough meat on our bones, right? As a child, I grew up being told “Come eat!” or “Please eat!” In Spanish, the word “Comé” is in its command form, meaning “eat!”.
In Japanese, the Kanji symbol for “eat”, taberu, looks very similar to an accented “e” in “Comé”.
By using these two languages and separating the word using japanese moras (syllables), which are, you get a double helping of “eat!” and even some assistance with pronunciation; Co-Mé! .

Not only do I want CoMé Eatery to entice you with it’s fantastic aromas and homey feel, but I want our future employees to love where they work and be invested in the growth of themselves through CoMé Eatery.
