The President's Commission on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer Affairs (President's Commission on LGBTQ Issues) was formally recognized in February 2009.
The President's Commission on LGBTQ Affairs is a formal recognition of the importance of encouraging diversity in general, and encouraging diversity related to sexual orientation and gender identity/expression specifically.
The mission of the President's Commission on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer Affairs is to create a more inclusive and supportive campus climate through education, activism, advocacy, and assessment for all, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.

The President's Commission on LGBTQ Affairs meets periodically throughout the fall and spring semester.
Membership is open to all faculty, staff, administrators, and student leaders.
