Due to my health issues with the stroke I (Ron) had 16 months ago I cannot keep up to the necessary deadlines needed to make the physical paper work.
We've had to push back delivery dates sometimes because I simply cannot function and its not fair to businesses who need their ads out there, especially when they have time sensitive material that needs to get out to the public.
My headaches can come at a moments notice and can last for hours or days, so stories being written or the paper being printed can be backed up for days..

So Todd and I have decided to shut the paper down.
It has been 17 years.
It doesn't seem like it's been that long.
We started it because the town needed a free publication to inform residents of what was going on in town once the Store News closed its doors.
We have been well received.
We have many people and businesses that have supported us over the years, many right from the start.
Thank-you so much! I know we have had too much sports coverage at times.....
that was my passion, but we have always had the library news, Catholic Women's League info, museum news, seniors news, school stuff, government items and whatever else we could get our hands on.
It started out as twice a month, but since Todd and I both had full time jobs we couldn't keep up with the demand and we settled on once a month..
