Fighters train to develop explosive movement and conditioning to last round after round.
If you want to become lean and muscular while you train your body like a real fighter, WITHOUT GETTING HURT like a real fighter, this is the perfect class for you.

WHAT IS CCS?.
.
Combat Conditioning System (CCS) is a unique combination of martial arts instruction, toning, and calisthenics.
You will have fun while building muscle strength, improving stamina, and increasing agility and explosive movement.
Each fantastic workout is one hour in length and led by Urbana Academy Instructors and incorporates suspension systems, resistance bands, medicine balls, punching bags, shields & mitts, and, among many other things, a 170lb grappling dummy! .

CCS is geared toward the average person as well as the high performance athlete.
Vacillating between routines and drills that focus on combining major muscle groups through explosive movements, plyometrics, and mixed martial arts techniques and conditioning drills for cardiovascular gains.
Participants will be challenged and motivated by their training partners and instructors and compete against themselves - tracking improvements in performance, health and ability to kick butt!.

Mixed Martial Arts, commonly known as MMA, is a combat sport that incorporates a wide variety of techniques and skills by combining Muay Thai Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and American Boxing/Kickboxing.
MMA Fighters need to be skilled, strong and highly conditioned.
This is a class that uses striking, and grappling techniques, both standing and on the ground.
The training features sprawls, clinches, knees, punches, elbows, kicks and ground and pound.

Bring a pair of padded gloves (boxing or MMA), wear secure/non-baggy gym-style clothing, and be motivated toward getting yourself in amazing shape while learning how to kick some serious butt.

If you are reading this and FEAR you aren't in shape enough or not coordinated enough – STOP! The instructors are well aware that people arrive with varied fitness and experience levels.
There is plenty of leeway built into this class to allow each participant to modify/modulate according to her own CURRENT experience and conditioning levels and FUTURE goals.
