The College began in 1985 under an initiative of the Armidale Anglican Diocese who employed Miss Lois Reid to conduct counselling training.
Over 500 students have studied with the college.
Many are employed in local welfare services and counselling centres throughout NSW and interstate.

Presently,the College is working in a partnership arrangement with TAFE New England Institute(RTO number 90001)to offer the Nationally Accredited Diploma of Counselling from the Community Services Training Package CHC08.
