In November, we helped bring student turnout above 2008 levels to reelect our first African American President, Barack Obama and elect our first LGBT Senator, Tammy Baldwin.
We also helped ensure that the 2nd Congressional District, which covers Madison, stayed in Democratic hands by electing former UW-Madison College Democrat Mark Pocan.
This year, we plan to build upon the success of 2012 by expanding our membership and preparing for the crucial midterm elections of 2014, when we will work to unseat Governor Scott Walker, who has set our state back through invasive laws restricting women's healthcare and anti-student policies like voter ID.
With your help, we can ensure that our government cares about student issues and works to make college affordable for everyone.
