El Colegio Internacional Eirís fue adquirido por la Institución Internacional SEK en 1992.
Denominado hasta este momento Colegio Eirís fue fundado en 1958 por cuatro educadoras universitarias que se instalaron en un pequeño piso en la Plaza de María Pita.
El objetivo de estas jóvenes emprendedoras era la plena dedicación a la formación y educación de los niños en un centro de rango oficial que permitiera la estabilidad y continuidad necesarias en un proceso educativo.
En el curso 1966-67 se trasladaron al edificio actual que se ha ido ampliando con el paso del tiempo debido al éxito alcanzado por el colegio, sobre todo porque el alto rendimiento académico de sus alumnos fue una constante en el Centro que le granjeó el reconocimiento social de las familias de la ciudad y un prestigio académico de calidad y rigor..
La incorporación de este colegio a la Institución internacional SEK tiene lugar en uno de los momentos de mayor expansión.
