Our festival is open to all genres but has taken special interest in first person narratives & intimate portraits.

This event is the culmination of a semester’s work by the students in AM398 Film Festivals: Cultures and Practices.
In this class we’ve looked at the history of major film festivals around the world as well as the economic, political, and cultural importance of festivals today.
The Points of View Film Festival is our attempt to put into practice some of the things the students learned.
Together the students identified and screened over 80 films, before selecting the 20 films that best reflected the aims of our festival.
Next the students worked in committees to program additional panels and speakers, to raise funds, to market the festival in print and online, and to reach out to students and the wider Waterville community to attend the film screenings.
