.Coal Mountain Band is a Modern Country/Southern Rock group from North Georgia.
Starting in the Spring of 2012, Jeremy Satterfield (lead guitar and vocals), Jordan Ligon (acoustic guitar and vocals), and Shawn Hall (lead vocals) had set out to follow their dreams and their passion of playing music.
Satterfield and Ligon, both born and raised in the small town of Dahlonega, GA, were childhood friends and had played in many groups together, but after many years and little success, they soon parted ways with music.
A short time later, Satterfield and Hall, (Hall) a native of Cumming, GA, met through mutual friends and had started playing together a bit here and there, but that too, was short lived.
So after many years of being in the scene, traveling across the country, and staying in and around Nashville for a while, Satterfield headed back to Georgia full time.
A couple of years later, Ligon had called Satterfield asking if he wanted to try and start something up with a friend.
So they once again tried it out, and a short time later, Hall also gave Satterfield a call and was wondering the same thing.
There was an idea that instantly shot through Satterfield’s head, so he then introduced Hall and Ligon to each other and after a few other phone calls and a short time later, Coal Mountain Band was formed.

Since that time they have been through many ups and downs on their journey, but they remain with their heads up and continue to do what they do best, writing music and performing.
Though they are still a young band, they have already had many accomplishments.
In this short time these guys have written a full album of songs (and then some).
“We truly try and write songs that have meaning to us and come from the heart, and we want to have songs that everyone can relate to, whether it’s a rocking song talking about our girls here in Georgia, a slower song that just really touches your soul, or just a good ole song about drinking moon shine, it’s all there.
We also try not to follow an exact formula when making our music, we just try to really put out what we are truly feeling on each songs and it seems to work.” These guys are literally exploding into the scene and have already had the honor of sharing the stage with such artists as: Sundy Best, Chris Stapleton, Jared Blake, Steel Magnolias, Billy Currington, Brantley Gilbert, Randy Houser, Tim McGraw, Thompson Square, Kellie Pickler, Tracy Lawrence, Maggie Rose, Josh Thompson, Jerrod Niemann, Blackberry Smoke, Bush Hawg, and many others, and are personally packing out clubs across the South East.
With their second EP on the horizon, and some success from their first EP, there’s no telling what’s in store for these guys.
